  3. Time: 02:56 a.m. BST. (01:56 GMT).
  4. Location: Whitefield. North Manchester. Near Junc. 17 M62.
  5. Conditions: Virtually no wind. Clear with 'Surface Haze'.
  6. Brighter Magnitude stars visible and moon in approx ESE location.

  8. Description of Object.

  10. 2 distinctly bright 'lights' apparently joined or moving in unison.
  11. Altitude unknown.
  12. Lighting characteristics unlike the usual aircraft 
  13. in this vicinity, (Manchester International Airport).
  14. Absolutely no sound.
  15. (No sonic characteristics that one would associate with an aircraft
  16. travelling at a similar speed, in the same conditions).

  18. Direction of Travel:

  20. First noticed in the South East, travelling North West.
  21. Approximation of course: Following a 'straight course' from the direction
  22. of Failsworth, (South Oldham), towards Bolton, Winter Hill.
  23. Speed of travel appeared constant.
  24. Object(s) faded in the distance, (smaller angle of vision through surface
  25. haze).
  26. Duration of sighting; approx 90 secs to 2 mins.

  28. Has anyone seen similar recently, or have a 'reasonable' explanation
  29. for this 'object'?
